NORPRO Security Ltd. is looking for independent and motivated individuals to join our team as Temporary  Industrial Security Guards. Norpro Security Ltd. offers a wide range of security services in Northern Ontario. Our security group administers stand-alone and integrated services to clients ranging from one-time security guards to the complete package that utilizes all of our services. We are proud to have many First Nation partnerships and successful business relations.

Job Type: Temporary, Full- Time Contract Position ( fixed term contract with possibility of extension).

Wage: $22.85 to $26.70 per hour

Number of Positions: Multiple Available

Location: Various Locations in Ontario

Work Location: In person, on worksite

We also provide free shuttle* to and from the worksite, meal reimbursement of  $85 per diem where applicable, as well as uniforms and accomodation.
(*free shuttle is from Sault Ste. Marie base location)

 

Schedule:

• 12 hour shifts
• Day shift
• Evening shift
• Night shift
• Weekend availability

Licence/Certification:

• Security Guard Licence (required)
• Valid Full G Driver's Licence ( asset)
• Valid First Aid / CPR Certification (required)

Duties and Responsibilities

As an Industrial Security Guard, your key duties and responsibilities include:
• Provide security by protecting people and property.
• Conduct routine patrols with your team.
• Ensure the security, safety and well-being of all personnel, visitors, and the premises.
• Immediately respond to emergencies to provide necessary assistance.
• Follow procedures for various initiatives, including fire prevention, property patrol, traffic control
and accident investigations.
• Write and submit security reports.
• Ensure all incident/accident reports are recorded accurately and submitted to the Manager as
they occur.

 

Working Conditions:

• This position is deployment based and operational in nature.
• Work hours may be irregular and extended, including evenings, weekends, statutory holidays, during emergency response or evacuation events.
• Must be prepared to work in high stress, emotionally charged environments, supporting individuals, families, and vulnerable positions.
• The role may involve standing, walking, lifting, and moving supplies, as well as assisting with mobility or accessibility needs of evacuees, in accordance with training and safety protocols.
• Travel is requird and may include short-notice deployments, temporary stays away from home, and shared accomodations, depending on operational needs.
• Work may take place in varied environmental conditions, including indoor and outdoor settings, and in remote or rural locations with limited services.
• Guards are expected to comply with all health and safety requirements, inluding personal protective equipment(PPE) , infection prevention protocols, and organizational policies.

 

 

Qualifications:


• Must be computer literate and able to write electronic reports.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
• You must be physically capable of extended patrolling, have strong interpersonal skills and
  customer service orientation.

 

Candidates must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
