Anishinabek Total Security Solutions Netmizaagamig Nishnaabeg (Pic Mobert First Nation)

Since 2012, Norpro. has been in partnership with the Netmizaagamig Nishnaabeg (Pic Mobert First Nation) through its wholly owned business, White Lake Limited Partnership. This created a joint venture known as Anishinabek Total Security Solutions (ATSS). Norpro. is responsible for the management, administration, and day-to-day operations of the joint venture. ATSS is a registered contractor with Supercom Industries LP

The opportunity arose to meet the needs of Pic Mobert First Nation and provide economic and employee opportunities. We developed this partnership with White Lake LP to implement this business opportunity and respond to the needs of the community. Through ATSS, we provide security and related services at various locations around the Superior East and Superior North region including within the First Nation operations and at various mining and construction sites. Norpro. is also responsible for the management, administration and day-to-day operations.

ATSS is majority-owned indigenous venture and is also a registered contractor with Supercom Industries LP (Supercom), a 100% First Nation owned business. Supercom is a unique partnership of six individual First Nations that are all working together to achieve economic growth and improve the quality of life for people and our surrounding community.

ATSS follows Article 19 and 21 of the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples (UNDRIP), focused on:

  • Consulting and cooperation in good faith with Indigenous peoples and
  • The rights of Indigenous peoples to improve their economic and social conditions
