Shuttle Driver -6 Months Contract ( May 1st to October 30th)

Transport NORPRO Staff on a bus, van, or other light vehicle between locations. The shuttle Driver is expected to greet customers, help them enter the vehicle, and assist them in loading their luggage, keeping the vehicle neat and making sure it is always in perfect working condition.

Job Type: 6 months contract from May 01st to October 30th.
Wage: $20.10  per hour

Location: Various Locations in Northern Ontario (Out of Sault Ste. Marie)

• Day shift

• Evening shift

• Night shift

• Weekend availability

• Valid G License (required)

• Clear Driver's Abstract (required)

• Valid First Aid/CPR Certificate (preferred)

• Work Location: In person, on mine site. Work will require consistent travel for extended periods of time to various locations to transport staff to work sites with is located out of Sault Ste. Marie.

• Application deadline: Until filled.

• Ensure timely and safe transportation of Norpro staff to and from worksites when the applicable highway authority confirms highways or alternate routes are open and safe to travel, including use of approved alternate routes as directed by official closure and opening advisories.

• Ensure shuttle is fueled, well maintained and presentable at all times.

• Conduct pre-shift vehicle inspections to ensure vehicles are safe to run.

• Observe all relevant traffic and safety laws.

• Assist passengers in loading and unloading their luggage into the vehicle.

• Answer passengers' questions in a polite and gentle manner.

• Maintain constant communication witht the dispatcher or manager.

• Cary out repairs of minor faults and report major problems, accidents, or damage to the vehicle to the dispatcher or technician.

• Obey all traffic rules and regulations guiding the operation of shuttle services in his/her assigned area.

• Dress in a neat and professional manner.

• Other related duties as assigned.

• Working knowledge of pertinent car maintenance techniques

• A good knowledge of traffic rules and regulations guiding the operation of shuttle drivers in that area is also necessary

• Able to work flexible shifts

• Work will require consistent travel for extended periods of time to various locations to transport staff to work sites.

• Require travelling long distances for extended periods. The nature of the position may expose the shuttle driver to a moderate/high level of tension and anxiety due to the weather conditions, time constraints and demands for the resources.
